Dr. Pam Sloan

Dr. Sloan’s passion for public schools began with her academic, athletic, and co-curricular experiences as a K-12 public school student. Public School teachers, administrators, and staff provided her with a strong academic foundation and often helped fill in missing and needed family supports. Public schools gave her life experiences and opportunities that she otherwise would not have had. Her public schooling enabled her to create a vision of a better life including the ability to attend a private college. Dr. Sloan earned three academic degrees ending with her Doctorate degree. Dr. Sloan taught various grades in New York, Kansas, Iowa, and Missouri. Her local Francis Howell School District career included being a teacher, principal, chief academic officer, and superintendent. Though currently retired from the day-to-day life of teaching and leading, she remains a staunch advocate for teachers and public schools.
